But it has another language for the writing is Tana language and is written from right to left to facilitate the writing of words in Arabic and it consists of 24 letters and 11 separate moving sounds.

English is used as part of minority languages in the Maldives but has increased in popularity after it was introduced into school and Dhivehi were replaced in English.
