At Planet Travel Advisor, clear payment and cancellation terms are an essential part of a seamless travel experience. We want every guest to fully understand how their booking is confirmed, how payments are processed, and what happens if travel plans to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan need to change.
This policy applies to all our Jordan tours, including customized itineraries, day trips, desert safaris, and shore excursions confirmed through Planet Travel Advisor. By confirming a booking and submitting a deposit, you accept the terms outlined below, including any supplier-specific conditions shared before your confirmation.
A booking is officially confirmed only when all of the following steps are complete:
You approve the final Jordan tour itinerary, quotation, inclusions, exclusions, travel dates, and any special conditions.
Planet Travel Advisor receives the required deposit or agreed payment.
Planet Travel Advisor sends written confirmation by email, an official invoice, or a booking confirmation message.
Here is the required payment breakdown for all standard Jordan travel packages:
1. Initial Deposit (25%): A 25% deposit of the total tour cost is required to secure your booking. Once received, we will confirm your hotels, domestic flights, and primary services.
2. Second Installment (65%): 65% of the total tour cost is due 25 days before your scheduled arrival in Jordan.
3. Final Balance (10%): The remaining 10% of the total tour cost is due 7 days before your arrival.
The required deposit depends on the type of tour, your travel period, and the specific suppliers involved in your itinerary.
For standard multi-day itineraries covering Amman, Jerash, Petra, and Wadi Rum, the standard deposit ranges from 25% to 50% of the total tour cost. The exact percentage depends on hotel categories, domestic flight inclusions (if applicable), and supplier policies.
If you are booking a single Petra day tour from Amman or shore excursions from Aqaba that do not include overnight accommodation, the required deposit is generally 25% of the total tour cost to secure the vehicle, guide, and necessary permits.
Jordan experiences two primary peak travel seasons: Spring (March through May) and Autumn (September through November). Due to high demand for hotels and Wadi Rum desert camps during these periods, as well as during Christmas, New Year, and Easter, a deposit of 50% or more is typically required. Luxury hotel bookings or large group arrangements may also require higher deposits or full prepayment depending on the property's terms.
The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment terms specified on your confirmed invoice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you may pay your balance:
Before your arrival in Jordan via a secure online payment link or bank transfer.
Upon arrival in cash (USD), provided this option is approved in advance.
Upon arrival by credit card, subject to applicable local processing fees.
If the final balance is not paid on schedule, local suppliers may release reserved hotel rooms, camps, or transportation services.
Planet Travel Advisor accepts the following secure payment methods:
Secure online payment links.
Major credit and debit cards.
Bank transfers (when approved in advance).
Cash upon arrival (only when explicitly agreed upon in writing).
Prices for our Jordan itineraries are quoted in USD. Any intermediary bank charges, currency conversion costs, or card processing fees are the responsibility of the guest unless otherwise stated. If a card processing fee applies to your final payment, it will be clearly communicated before the transaction is completed.
Once your booking is confirmed and the deposit is received, the agreed price remains valid for all listed services, protecting you from standard price fluctuations. However, price stability does not cover:
Government-imposed fee increases (such as sudden changes to the Jordan Pass or Petra entrance fees).
Upgrades or changes requested by the guest after confirmation.
Currency fluctuations affecting unpaid balances.
If you need to amend your itinerary, such as changing travel dates or hotel categories, Planet Travel Advisor will do our best to accommodate the request. Amendments are subject to availability and supplier approval. Any cost difference or amendment fee charged by hotels or camps will be the guest's responsibility.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. The official cancellation date is the day Planet Travel Advisor receives the written notice. Cancellation charges depend on the travel season and supplier rules.
For trips taking place outside of the primary peak seasons (typically June through August and December through February, excluding holidays), the following cancellation scale generally applies:
From booking date until 61 days before arrival: 15% of the total tour cost
60 to 30 days before arrival: 25% of the total tour cost
29 to 15 days before arrival: 50% of the total tour cost
14 to 7 days before arrival: 75% of the total tour cost
7 to 1 day before arrival (or No-Show): 100% of the total tour cost
Because hotel and camp inventory in Jordan is strictly managed during Spring (March–May), Autumn (September–November), Christmas, New Year, and Easter, the following stricter cancellation scale applies:
From booking date until 61 days before arrival: 25% of the total tour cost
60 to 31 days before arrival: 50% of the total tour cost
30 to 15 days before arrival: 75% of the total tour cost
14 to 1 day before arrival (or No-Show): 100% of the total tour cost
Certain services in Jordan become non-refundable immediately upon booking. These may include domestic flight tickets (such as flights between Amman and Aqaba), special event permits, premium Wadi Rum luxury dome tents, and non-refundable hotel rates. If a cancellation affects a non-refundable supplier cost, that specific amount will be deducted from any eligible refund.
A no-show occurs when a guest fails to meet their guide or representative at the agreed time (such as an airport pickup at Queen Alia International Airport) without prior written notice. Missed services due to a no-show are non-refundable.
If your flight to Jordan is delayed or cancelled, you must notify Planet Travel Advisor immediately. We will make every effort to adjust your transfers and sightseeing schedule. However, additional costs caused by the delay—such as new transfer fees, extra hotel nights, or rearranged guide services- are the guest's responsibility.
Eligible refunds will be processed through the original payment method. Processing times depend on bank procedures, payment gateways, and international transfer timelines. Once a tour in Jordan has started, unused services (such as skipped meals, unused transfers, or early departures) are non-refundable.
Guests may request to postpone their trip. Postponement is subject to supplier approval, availability, and the rates applicable to the new travel dates. If approved, the amount paid may be transferred as credit toward the new dates, minus any non-refundable supplier charges.
