Discover Jordan together on a private 6-day active family holiday that combines historic cities, outdoor experiences, desert-edge landscapes and time to relax at the Dead Sea.
Starting in Amman, your family will explore the capital before travelling south to Wadi Feynan, where you can choose between hiking and mountain biking with a local Bedouin guide. The journey continues through Shobak Castle and Little Petra before a full day discovering Petra's famous rock-cut monuments.
The final part of the tour adds another active experience at Wadi Weida’a before reaching the Dead Sea for a relaxing afternoon and overnight stay.
Across 5 nights, the itinerary combines comfortable hotels with distinctive stays at Feynan Ecolodge and a Bedouin camp in Little Petra, while private transportation helps make the journey between destinations straightforward.
Book your 6-day Jordan family holiday and experience a more active side of the country together.
Welcome to Jordan. After completing arrival procedures at Queen Alia International Airport, meet the representative outside customs and continue by private transfer to your accommodation in Amman.
The drive takes approximately 50 minutes, depending on traffic. After checking in, the rest of the day is free, giving your family time to recover from the journey or begin discovering the surroundings at your own pace.
You will spend your first night in Amman before beginning the active portion of the tour the following morning.
After breakfast, begin exploring the historic heart of Amman.
Visit Citadel Hill, where archaeological remains span several periods of the city's history and the elevated setting offers wide views across Amman. Continue to the Roman Theatre before walking through the downtown souq for a closer look at everyday city life.
You will also experience Jabal Amman, an area known for its early 20th-century architecture.
Leaving the capital behind, travel approximately three hours toward remote Wadi Feynan. The final section of the journey to the ecolodge is completed off-road by 4x4.
If arrival time allows, there may also be an opportunity to join a sunset hike before dinner.
After breakfast, choose how your family would like to explore the rocky landscapes around Wadi Feynan.
With a local Bedouin guide, take part in either a hiking experience or a mountain-bike excursion through the surrounding wilderness.
Afterwards, continue by road to Shobak Castle, dramatically positioned on a hilltop, before travelling onward to Little Petra.
Enter Little Petra through its narrow Siq and explore the area's rock-cut structures, tombs and former caravan facilities. The site offers an interesting introduction to Nabataean architecture before the following day's visit to Petra itself.
Dinner is served at your camp, where you spend the night in Little Petra.
After breakfast at the camp, check out and make the short journey to Petra, Jordan’s famous ancient Nabataean city.
Enter Petra through the narrow Siq with your English-speaking spot guide. At the end of the canyon, you will reach the Treasury, one of the most recognized monuments in Jordan.
Continue exploring the archaeological site, including the Street of Facades, Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle, while learning more about Petra's history and its importance as a major trading center.
Your guided visit lasts approximately 2.5 hours. After the guided section, enjoy lunch before having additional free time to explore Petra at your own pace.
Later, return to the entrance and transfer to your hotel in Petra for the night.
After breakfast, check out from your Petra hotel and travel north toward the Dead Sea.
Along the way, stop at Wadi Weida’a for an easy hike of approximately 1.5 hours. Follow the water trail through the canyon, surrounded by vegetation, until reaching a small waterfall.
After the hike, enjoy lunch before continuing toward the Dead Sea.
If weather conditions make a visit to Wadi Weida’a unsuitable, Hammamat Ma'in may be visited as an alternative.
Continue to your Dead Sea hotel, check in and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure. Relax beside the shore and unwind after several active days exploring Jordan.
Enjoy breakfast at your Dead Sea hotel and spend the remaining time at leisure according to your departure schedule.
Hotel check-out is no later than 12:00.
At the appropriate time, meet your driver for the approximately 1.5-hour journey from the Dead Sea to Queen Alia International Airport.
Arrive at the airport for your onward international flight, bringing your 6-day active Jordan family holiday to an end.
