6 Days Explore Jordan Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum & Dead Sea

After breakfast, travel approximately one hour north to Jerash, one of Jordan's most important Roman archaeological sites.

Explore the ancient city with a local guide, discovering the Forum, colonnaded streets, Nymphaeum, theatres and Temple of Artemis.

Enjoy lunch during the day's sightseeing before returning to Amman.

Continue your exploration in the historic downtown area with a visit to Amman Citadel, where remains from the Roman through early Islamic periods include the Temple of Hercules and Umayyad Palace.

Continue to the Archaeological Museum before seeing the impressive Roman Theatre.

Finish the sightseeing with a walk through Amman's traditional downtown souq, filled with local produce, spices, herbs, clothing and everyday Jordanian life.

Return to your hotel in Amman.

After breakfast, leave Amman for a full day travelling south through several of Jordan's most important historic and cultural sites.

Your first stop is Mount Nebo, traditionally associated with Prophet Moses and his view of the Promised Land.

Continue to Madaba and visit St. George's Church to see the famous sixth-century mosaic map.

Enjoy lunch during the day's sightseeing before continuing south along the historic King's Way, an ancient caravan route crossing some of Jordan's most dramatic terrain.

Make a short stop overlooking Wadi Al Mujib, known for its wide valley and distinctive geological formations.

Continue to Kerak Castle, the historic Crusader fortress dating to the 12th century.

After your visit, travel onward to Petra and check in at your hotel for a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Petra, Jordan's celebrated Nabataean archaeological city.

Meet your local guide and enter through the narrow Siq, surrounded by layers of colourful sandstone.

At the end of the Siq, the Treasury comes into view. Continue along the main archaeological route to the Street of Facades, Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle.

After the guided portion of the visit, enjoy lunch and free time to explore Petra independently.

Travelers who are comfortable with the climb may continue independently toward the Monastery – El Deir, reached by approximately 800 steps.

Later, return to Petra's main entrance and travel approximately 1.5 hours to Wadi Rum.

Arrive at your desert camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Enjoy breakfast at your Wadi Rum camp before beginning your 4x4 desert experience with a local Bedouin driver.

Travel deeper into the Wadi Rum landscape, where sandstone mountains rise above red sand dunes and narrow desert canyons.

During the experience, see natural rock formations, Nabataean rock inscriptions, desert scenery and a naturally formed rock bridge.

After completing your Wadi Rum experience, continue north toward the Dead Sea.

The road journey takes approximately four hours.

Arrive at your hotel beside the Dead Sea, check in and enjoy time to experience its highly saline waters and distinctive shoreline.

Spend your final night in Jordan at the Dead Sea.
